WITCHCRAFT AND SORCERY EXIST
The existence of sorcery is unquestionable, since God Himself condemns its practice in Sacred Scripture (Ex 22:17; Lv 20:27; Mic 5:11). As we all know, God cannot forbid what is harmless or indifferent; therefore, if God declares the practice of sorcery and witchcraft to be a sin, it is because through it man can harm himself or harm others.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WITCH, A MAGICIAN, A SORCERER AND A SHAMAN
THE WITCH
A witch is a person who practices the art of making certain things happen by calling on the forces of nature, whose effects can be beneficial or harmful. The witch normally uses the power of herbs and minerals to achieve his effects; he could also be called an herbalist. In most cases, although the witch does not directly invoke Satan or make pacts with him, he does demand of nature effects that can only come from this evil being, since nature cannot produce such effects. Therefore, within Christian ethics, the witch is likewise in mortal sin, because he denies the oneness of God and attributes divinity to the forces of nature, which in other words would be pantheism; from which it follows that no Catholic may licitly practice witchcraft.
THE MAGICIAN
A magician is a man who devotes himself to the search for hidden knowledge and arcane wisdom, and who tries to develop methods of acting outside the body through his mental powers or superhuman abilities. In ancient times magi were synonymous with philosophers, who sought wisdom in the stars and in the thought inherited from the most ancient cultures; hence three magi, through their wisdom, went to meet the promised Messiah, as the Gospel records. So not every magician is necessarily bad; for example, the word magician is also used for someone who can draw attention with his arts and distract and entertain, who would more properly be called a conjurer or illusionist, since what such people do is not invoke hidden forces but simply perform their tricks with quick movements of the hands or with effects that cause optical illusions and produce the sensation of being before a supernatural phenomenon. However, if the magician, in his search for occult magic, enters the realm of the diabolical or the macabre, he will of course be entirely outside the law of God, and therefore no Catholic may licitly practice magic or seek such knowledge.
THE SORCERER
A sorcerer is a person who devotes himself to calling up negative or evil forces, through potions, conjurations and spells, in order to achieve beneficial effects or, in most cases, harmful effects on a third person. Unlike the witch, who works with elements of nature, the sorcerer needs an object of contact with his victim, that is, something that belongs to them: hair, clothing, jewelry, etc. It goes without saying that the practice of sorcery is a mortal sin for every Catholic, since we are forbidden to wish evil on our neighbor, and the sorcerer is the professional of the evil spell, that is, not only the one who wishes evil but the one who actually causes evil to his neighbor.
THE SHAMAN
The shaman is someone who, making use of spiritual entities, tries to drive away illnesses of the soul and of the body. To achieve his ends he normally mixes elements of witchcraft, magic and sorcery, and we could more simply call him a folk healer.
TYPES OF MAGIC
The study of all the conjurations, spells and hexes used to do evil is normally called magic, but it belongs more properly to the realm of sorcery than of witchcraft, since they are directed toward the evil spell.
WHITE MAGIC
Although it is usually called beneficial magic, what it actually does is illicitly invoke demonic forces to cause a positive or beneficial effect on someone.
GREEN MAGIC
This is the magic whose aim is to attract good or bad luck to a person; it is also used to guess lottery numbers and, in general, to do well in games of chance, or, on its other side, to cause the financial ruin of its victims.
RED MAGIC
This is the so-called magic of love, which is used to cause someone to fall in love through a spiritual violence that, through its spells, makes the desired person give in to the indecent proposals of the one who commissions the evil spell. Through this kind of magic, sexual incompatibilities and divorces are brought about, and it can even go so far as to drive someone into sexual excess.
YELLOW MAGIC
Through spells of yellow magic, what is sought is to cause illnesses in the victim that bring the person to the edge of despair, but without causing death.
BLUE MAGIC
This is a combination of red magic and black magic, through which an attempt is made to cause sexual harm, for example impotence in men, uterine or breast cancer, vaginal bleeding, and even venereal diseases without contact with infected people
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SPELL, A CONJURATION AND A SORTILEGE
THE SPELL
It is a procedure or action, accompanied by a rhyme or recitation, which seeks to achieve a harmful effect on someone.
THE CONJURATION
It is the invocation or proclamation of a formula from which an effect is expected, without having to add any procedure or action.
THE SORTILEGE
It is the art that seeks to predict future events by interpreting present events. To close this subject, we wish to quote some passages of the Bible in which all these practices are strictly forbidden: “You shall not practice magic or divination.” Lv 19:26 “For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let yourselves be deceived by the prophets who are among you, nor by your diviners; do not listen to the dreams they dream, for they prophesy falsely to you in My Name, though I did not send them, says the Lord.” Jer 29:8-9
“For the idols give empty answers, and the diviners see deceitful visions, tell idle dreams and give hollow comfort. That is why the people have wandered like a flock; they are afflicted because they have no shepherd.” Zech 10:2 “There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or daughter pass through the fire, who practices divination, astrology, sorcery or magic, any charmer, or anyone who consults ghosts or diviners, or calls up the dead. For whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God, and because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving these nations out before you.” Dt 18:10-14

Matthew 24:3 And as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately and said: “Tell us when this will happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the world.”
Matthew 24:14 “This Good News of the Kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations. And then the end will come.
Luke 21:7-8 For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
All this is the beginning of the birth pangs.
Luke 21:9-12 Then they will hand you over to torture and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. Then many will fall away and will betray and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will deceive many. And because wickedness will increase more and more, the love of most will grow cold.

IV)- Rev 6:8: A pale horse; its rider was named Death, and Hades followed him. They were given power over a quarter of the earth, to kill with the sword, with famine, with plague and with the wild beasts of the earth.
V)- Rev 6:9-10: I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the Word of God and for the testimony they had borne. They cried out with a loud voice: “How long, holy and true Master, will You refrain from doing justice and avenging our blood on the inhabitants of the earth?”
VI)- Rev 6:12-14: There was a violent earthquake; the sun became black as sackcloth, the whole moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, … and the sky was rolled back like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place…
Rev 6:15-17 And the kings of the earth, the magnates, the commanders, the rich, the powerful, and everyone, slave or free, hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they say to the mountains and the rocks: “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the One who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the Great Day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”
VII)- Rev 8:1-2: There was silence in heaven for about half an hour… Then I saw the seven Angels who stand before God; seven trumpets were given to them. Rev 8:5 And the Angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth. Then there were peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

Rev 8:7 FIRST TRUMPET: Then hail and fire mixed with blood fell: a third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

Rev 8:10-11 THIRD TRUMPET: Then a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch. It fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned into wormwood, and many people died from the waters, because they had become bitter.
Rev 8:12 FOURTH TRUMPET: Then a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon and a third of the stars; a third of them were darkened; the day lost a third of its light, and so did the night.
Rev 9:1-3 FIFTH TRUMPET: Then I saw a star that had fallen from heaven to earth. It was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. It opened the shaft of the Abyss, and when it opened the shaft, smoke rose from it like the smoke of a great furnace, darkening the sun and the air. Out of the smoke came locusts that spread over the whole earth, and they were given power like the power of the scorpions of the earth.
Rev 9:4-10 In those days people will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death will flee from them.
Rev 12:17 Then, enraged at the Woman, he went off to make war on the rest of her children, those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Rev 15:1 and 7 Then I saw in heaven another sign, great and wonderful: seven Angels bearing seven plagues, the last ones, for with them the fury of God is completed… Then one of the four Living Creatures gave the seven Angels seven golden bowls full of the fury of God, who lives for ever and ever.

Rev 16:12 SIXTH BOWL: He poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates; and its waters dried up to prepare the way for the kings of the East.
Rev 16:17 SEVENTH BOWL: He poured out his bowl into the air … There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a violent earthquake, such as there had never been since people have existed on the earth. Rev 19:19-21 Then I saw the Beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to wage war against the One riding the horse and against His army. But the Beast was captured, and with it the false prophet (the one who had performed in the service of the Beast the wonders with which he seduced those who had accepted the mark of the Beast and those who worshiped its image); the two were thrown alive into the lake of burning sulfur.
All the rest were killed by the sword that comes from the mouth of the rider, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh. »
2 Peter 3:7 and that the present heavens and earth, by that same Word, are reserved for fire and kept until the day of Judgment and the destruction of the ungodly. 2 Peter 3:10 The Day of the Lord will come like a thief; on that day the heavens will dissolve with a deafening roar, the elements will be consumed by fire and melt, and the earth and everything in it will be burned up.
